Franklin inaugurations

Sixteenth Judicial District Court Judge Vincent Borne, at far left in both photos, administered the oath of office to the Franklin mayor and city council members at the Teche Theater Tuesday. All were elected to the new four-year term in April. Mayor Raymond Harris, above, was first to take the oath, followed by the city council. Pictured below from left are Harris, City Inspector Blake Steiner, council members Chuck Autin, Eugene Foulcard, Joe Garrison, Lester Levine and Dale Rogers. The council then took up the business of charter-mandated mayoral appointments, reaffirming city attorney Russell Cremaldi, Director of Administration Karen LeBlanc, Director of Finance Ed Hay, Director of Public Works Jeremy Smith, Director of Recreation Chris Barrilleaux, Police Chief Sabria McGuire and Fire Chief Boykin “Chuck” Bourgeois. The council also appointed Bernard Daniels as director of utilities.
