MISS IRIS LYNN COLAR

Miss Iris Lynn Colar, 77, a resident and native of Jeanerette, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at 1:35 a.m., at Iberia Medical Center following a short illness.
She is survived by two brothers, Marvin E. Colar and Ann Grace Colar of Lafayette and Larry V. Colar and Gwendolyn Colar of San Bernardino, California.
Miss Colar was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, July 12, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at First Jerusalem Baptist Church in Jeanerette.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. W. J. Otis officiating. Interment will follow in the Rising Sun of Liberty Cemetery in Jeanerette.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
