Golden Meadow officer arrested in meth case

GOLDEN MEADOW, La. (AP) — Authorities say a Golden Meadow police officer and two others have been arrested and booked with manufacturing methamphetamine.
Lafourche Parish deputies said Officer Ashley Pollard and his girlfriend, Anna King, both of Cut Off, were arrested Monday.
Also arrested was his brother, Courtney Pollard, of Golden Meadow.
Golden Meadow Police Chief Reggie Pitre says Ashley Pollard has resigned from the department.
Deputies say the Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force began investigating the case in April.
It was unclear whether the Pollards and King arrested have attorneys.
