FSHS Lady Hornets top WHS Lady Tigers

NEW IBERIA _ The Franklin Lady Hornets defeated the Westgate Lady Tigers 3-2 in volleyball action here Tuesday at the Westgate High School Gymnasium.
Franklin topped Westgate by scores of 25-18, 20-25, 23-25, 25-10, 15-0.
Leading scorers for Franklin were: Abriana Burrell, 8 kills, 4 aces, 1 block and 5 assists; Fabian Small, 4 kills, 1 ace, 2 blocks; Emily Marion, 2 kills, 10 aces; Nekeiah Gibson, 14 aces, 1 assist (9 aces came in final set that she served the entire time); Skylar Provost, 3 kills, 2 aces, 1 assist and Aisha Ortiz, 10 assists.
Franklin will next play in the Morgan City Tournament.
