‘Lavender Jazz Brunch’ to fight lupus in Louisiana

BATON ROUGE — The Lavender Jazz Brunch will help to increase awareness of lupus and raise funds to fight this oftentimes debilitating disease, according to a news release.
The jazz brunch will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 12at The Varsity Theatre at 3353 Highland Road. This event is the precursor to the Lupus Foundation’s 27th Annual Esther W. Eames Golf Tournament on Oct. 13 at Santa Maria Golf Course.
Live entertainment will be provided by Louisiana jazz musician Charmaine Neville, Shaun Ward Xperience, Maggie Belle & Band, international band Henry Turner Jr. and The Flavor, Micaela Mone, Flawless 4, Cliff & Company, Katelyn Perry, and Irene Simon.
Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased at www.lavenderjazzbrunch.eventbrite.com. A table of four can be purchased for $100. Each table sponsor will be listed on the Louisiana Lupus Foundation website, have reserved seating, and receive an honorable mention at the event.
