Berwick leads area teams in volleyball rankings

Berwick High School leads all area volleyball teams with a No. 7 ranking in Division 3, according to the latest unofficial power rankings released by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.
The Lady Panthers are among three area teams competing in Division 3, along with Morgan City and Patterson. The Lumberjills are ranked No. 17, while Morgan City is ranked No. 21.
In Division V, Central Catholic is ranked No. 20.
Parkview Baptist is the top-ranked team in Division III, while Metairie Park Country Day is No. 1 in Division V.
The rankings were released prior to Tuesday’s contests.
