No area teams ranked in prep football polls

No area teams are represented in this week’s Louisiana Sports Writers Association prep football polls, but their district opponents are ranked.
Both Central Catholic and Morgan City have district opponents listed in the Class 1A and 4A prep polls this week.
Vermilion Catholic, who Central Catholic will face Friday, is ranked No. 6 in Class 1A, up a spot from a week ago.
In Class 4A, Morgan City’s District 7-4A opponent, South Terrebonne, received nine votes this week.
St. Thomas More moved into the top spot in Class 4A from No. 3 after last week’s No. 1-ranked squad, Warren Easton, fell to Woodlawn of Baton Rouge last week.
John Curtis and Haynesville retained their top rankings in Classes 4A and 1A, respectively.
