Hanson Canal to be closed

Boaters are advised that the Hanson Canal will be closed Oct. 7 though sometime in March, 2015.
The closure is to accommodate construction of the Hanson Canal floodgate.
Sealevel Construction will begin installing the crane trestle so the channel will be obstructed for navigation.
The expected construction of water-based features (sheet piles, pipe piles, etc.) is expected to last until March 2015, so the channel will be obstructed until that time.
