Area volleyball teams mostly idle

Three of four teams remained idle in the latest unofficial Louisiana High School Athletic Association prep volleyball power rankings released this morning, while a fourth dropped three spots.
While Berwick and Morgan City remained at Nos. 12 and 23, respectively, in Division III from a week ago and Central Catholic at No. 15 in Division V, Patterson slipped three spots to No. 25 in Division III.
Berwick and Morgan City will meet today in District 6-III play in Berwick, while Patterson will host No. 10 E.D. White.
Central Catholic also will be at home today in District 6-V action as it hosts Covenant Christian.
The top teams in divisions III and V didn’t change from a week ago as Teurlings Catholic remained No. 1 in Division III and Metairie Park Country Day is the top-ranked team in Division V.
