Lady Tigers top Donaldsonville

The Morgan City Lady Tigers knocked off Donaldsonville Monday in straight sets, 25-10, 25-21, 25-8, in District 6-III action.
The Lady Tigers had five aces and three blocks in the win.
Jaiveianna Jones led the Lady Tigers with two aces, 12 kills, two blocks and 10 digs, while Cecily Feliciano had three aces, two kills, eight assists and four digs.
Other top contributors included Alex Thompson, three kills, one block and five digs; Brandi Albarado, 13 digs; and Kennedy Hebert, seven digs.
In junior varsity action, Morgan City fell 2-1 (25-18, 23-25, 7-15).
Allie Vincent had one ace, five assists and six digs for Morgan City, while Albarado had one kill and 13 digs.
Other top contributors included Abby Reynaud, two kills, two assists and three digs; Katelyn Gautreaux, eight digs; Hannah Gros, two aces and one kill; and Kaitlyn Gros, two kills and one dig.
Morgan City will return to action today when it closes District 6-III play at Lutcher.
Berwick falls
to E.D. White
Berwick played E.D. White tough in District 6-III play but came up short in a 3-0 (20-25, 19-25, 25-27) defeat to the Thibodaux-based school during action in Berwick Monday.
Ashton Morales had one ace, six kills, one block, eight assists and five digs for Berwick, while Abigail Askew had 12 kills and one block.
Other top contributors included Hannah Carpenter, one ace, one kill, one assist and 20 digs; Mary Jordan Melancon, one kill, nine assists and four digs; Rennen DeLatte, two aces and 10 digs; and Roslyn Gros, five digs.
In junior varsity action, Berwick fell 2-0 (12-25, 11-25).
Brittany Roberie had one kill, four assists and three digs for Berwick, while Jaci Arnold had three kills and two digs.
Other top contributors included Emma Hover, one kill and seven digs; Morgan Romero, one assist and five digs; and Madalyn Gros, one ace, one kill and two digs.
In freshman action, Berwick defeated E.D. White 2-1 (8-25, 25-19, 15-11).
Roberie led Berwick with two aces, one kill, six assists and six digs, while Cate Koen had one ace, six kills and seven digs.

Berwick will close out its regular season Wednesday when it hosts Franklin.
Patterson lost to Lutcher Monday 3-0 (25-8, 25-20, 25-10).
