Funeral services celebrating the life of Alfredo Flores will be held at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. He will be laid to rest in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the Mass and conduct the services. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visiting hours will resume Tuesday morning at Ibert’s Mortuary, at 9 a.m., and continue until time of dismissal.
A native of Hebbronville, Texas and a longtime resident of Franklin, Alfredo passed away on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include five children, Maria Lydia F. Longman; Graciela “Gracie” F. Guillotte and her husband, Allen; Alfredo “Freddie” Flores Jr. and his wife, Sandra; Fernando Jose Flores and his wife, Madeline; and Ray Manuel Flores and his wife, Claire; nine grandchildren, Sidney Longman III, Laura L. Smith, Allen “Doogie” Guillotte Jr., Nicole G. Aufieri, Alanna F. Louviere, Sister Maria Goretti, OCD; Natalie Grace Flores, Rebecca Grand Flores and Sophie Claire Flores; 13 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Cristela Shaw and Elia Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dionicia Molina Flores; his parents, Federico Flores Sr. and Maria Saenz Flores; six siblings, Frederico Flores Jr., Alberto Flores, Vivian Flores, Reynaldo Flores, Romeo Flores and Fidel Flores; and one grandson, Blake Anthony Flores.
