MRS. JOYCE LEVINE SILAS

Mrs. Joyce Levine Silas, 57, a resident and native of Franklin, died Monday, November 24, 2014, at 2:14 p.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital following a short illness.
Visitations will be observed Thursday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Otis Mortuary Chapel.
Burial rites will be read Thursday, at 1 p.m., at the mortuary, with Pastor Hebert officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery in Franklin.
She is survived by her husband, Dianell Silas Sr. of Franklin; two sons, Kevin J. Levine and Dianell Silas Jr., both of Franklin; one daughter, Katina (Kerwin) Gabriel of Franklin; four brothers, David Levine, Raymond Levine, both of Franklin, Alton Levine, Kenneth Levine and Alvin Minor, all of Baldwin; two sisters, Cynthia Gray of Franklin and Connie Haynes of Berwick; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Silas was preceded in death by her parents, Albertha and David Levine; one brother, Leonard Levine; and her grandparents.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
