MARY MATTHEWS YELLING

Mrs. Mary Matthews Yelling, 70, a resident of New Iberia and native of Franklin, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at 6:40 a.m., at her residence following a short illness.
Visitations will be Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, 3040 Irish Bend Road, Oaklawn.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. James F. Otis officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Alvin (Danielle) Yelling of Baldwin; four daughters, Michelle (Matthew) Carey, Janet (Robert) Stevenson Sr., Yolanda (Eric) Yelling and Marvel (Dwayne) Boutte, all of New Iberia; six brothers, Frank Matthews, Vince Ferguson, Charlie Ferguson Jr., Murrary Ferguson, Glenn Ferguson and Tommy Haisley; three sisters, Amy Haisley, Shirley Webb and Dorena Burrell; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and nine grandchildren.
Mrs. Yelling was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
