Champagne-Berry exchange vows in Nov. 15 ceremony
Shanna Chancey Champagne and Scott Berry were married during a double-ring ceremony Nov. 15 at the Thibodaux Courthouse. Judge Edward M. Leonard Jr. presided.
The bride is the daughter of Sheila and Richard Chancey, of Gray. The groom is the son of Doyle Berry, of Berwick, and the late Dawn Berry.
Ballroom chairs and vintage furniture adorned the courthouse lawn for the ceremony. Walkways were lined with shepherd’s hooks filled with red, blush and white peonies.
Music was by pianist Todd Adams.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride wore a tea-length dress crafted of tulle accented with a vintage pearl and crystal sash. She finished her look with a birdcage veil and a pop of red in the form of a modern cardigan.
She carried a mixture of red roses, blush pink peonies and orchids.
Kaylee Champagne was maid of honor. Flower girl was Isabella Claire Berry.
Cullen Champagne served as best man.
A reception followed at Fermin’s in Thibodaux. In keeping with the vintage-glam theme, decorations included tables draped in sequined blush champagne cloths, and vintage furniture.
The bride’s cake was a three-tiered confection in soft-antique gold adorned with delicate sugar flowers. The cake rested on an embossed silver cake plateau.
Chocolate-covered fruit topped the groom’s cake which was a three-tiered ganache confection in white, milk and dark chocolate.
The bride is a graduate of H.L. Bourgeois High School in Gray. She is a government account manager for Verizon.
