All-District 7-1A football teams

Central Catholic placed eight members of its football team on the All-District 7-1A first team, led by Co-Defensive Most Valuable Player Garret LeBlanc.
LeBlanc, a linebacker, shared the top honor with Vermilion Catholic defensive lineman Braxton Cessac.
Other first-team defensive selections for Central Catholic were lineman T.J. Ruffin, linebacker Tanner Wiggins and defensive back Charlie Barron.
On offense, Central Catholic running back Stefano Guarisco and wide receivers Jalen Johnson and Samarick Paul all made the squad.
The Eagles’ Matthew Barbier was the first-team kicker.
Tyler Derouen of Vermilion Catholic was named Offensive Most Valuable Player, while Vermilion Catholic coach Russ Kuhns, who led his team to the district title with a 6-0 mark, was named the Coach of the Year.
Central Catholic had five second-team selections.
On offense, Barbier made the team at wide receiver, while on the offensive line are teammates Thomas Garber and Cole Baker.
Defensive selections are Matthew Vorenkamp and Sage Thibodeaux on the line.
Honorable mention selections for Central Catholic were quarterback Blake Byrne, offensive lineman Blake Hidalgo, defensive backs Sydney Holder and Samuel Guarisco, linebackers Charlie Solar, Demarcus Mitchell and Greg Leger; defensive lineman John Parker, and running back Chris Singleton.
