Arrests reports
A 19-year-old Berwick woman was charged Thursday on a Baldwin police warrant for aggravated second-degree battery, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Eulalia McCoy, 19, of the 300 block of Snead Street in Berwick, was arrested at 1:02 p.m. Thursday on a Baldwin Police Department warrant for aggravated second-degree battery. A sheriff’s office deputy made contact with McCoy and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. She was jailed and released on $5,000 bail.
Hebert reported responding to 43 complaints and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Jimmy Billiot Sr., 41, of the 800 block of Degravelle Road in Amelia, was arrested at 9:33 a.m. Thursday, on a warrant for criminal damage to property less than $500 and a warrant for criminal damage to property more than $500.
Billiot turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Office in Franklin after learning of the active warrants for his arrest. The warrants stem from complaints received Oct. 29. Deputies learned that Billiot was responsible for slashing vehicle tires at a business in Amelia. Billiot was jailed and released on $10,000 bail.
—Derrick Gros, 23, of the 1000 block of Landry Lane in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:35 p.m. Thursday for a warrant for distribution of marijuana. Detectives conducted a traffic stop in Bayou Vista. The detectives made contact with the driver, identified as Gros, and arrested him on the warrant. Gros was jailed with bail set at $75,000. The warrant stems from illegal drug activity reported March 10, Hebert said.
—Bianca Mondragon, 24, of the 5800 block of North Bayou Black Drive in Gibson, was arrested at 9:43 a.m. Thursday, on a warrant for failure to appear for no child restraint and operating a vehicle without a license. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Duhon Boulevard and Joel Street. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Mondragon, and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. Mondragon was jailed and released after paying a $349.50 fine.
—Kenneth White III, 51, of the 200 block of Mars Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:32 p.m. Thursday for possession of drug paraphernalia. Detectives received a complaint, detailing illegal drug use at a residence in Bayou Vista. The detectives searched the residence and found drug paraphernalia in White’s possession. White was released on a summons to appear in court March 11, 2015.
—Greg Hinspeter, 53, of the 200 block of Mars Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:32 p.m. Thursday for possession of drug paraphernalia. Detectives received a complaint, detailing illegal drug use at a residence in Bayou Vista. Detectives searched the residence and found drug paraphernalia in Hinspeter’s possession. White was released on a summons to appear in court March 11, 2015.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported no arrests.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
