Burglary suspect nabbed

An arrest was made Monday in connection with a November vehicle burglary on the Atchafalaya Basin levee near Charenton.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the arrest of Shane R. Archangel, 20, of 823 Falton St., New Iberia, was arrested Monday at 12:43 p.m. on a warrant charging him with vehicle burglary.
He was located with assistance of the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center with no bond set.
The incident was captured in video in which Archangel is allegedly shown breaking a window to gain access to the vehicle.
