E. D. White edges Franklin

THIBODAUX _ The No. 7-ranked E. D. White Lady Cardinals posted a narrow 45-41 District 9-3A win over the Franklin Lady Hornets here Friday at the EDW High School Gym.
Leading scorers for Franklin were: Quanta Jones, 17 points on 4 deuces, a trio of treys; Fabian Small, 12 points on 5 field goals and 2 of 2 free throws; Wynesha Jenkins, 6 points on 3 field goals; Chardonnae Parker, 3 points on 1 trey and Kaira Butler, 3 points, 3 of 4 free throws.
Franklin is currently 11-13 overall and 1-3 in district play.
Franklin will return to action on Friday at home versus Donaldsonville at 6 p.m.
