Police Reports 2-2-15

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Tiffany A. Sonnier, 26, of 2806 Dalbor St., Jeanerette, was arrested Friday at 4:54 p.m. on charges of conspiracy to bring contraband into a jail, possession of Adderall and bringing contraband into a jail. No bond was set.
Cameron Duncan, 18, of 317 Chauvin Lane, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 9:16 p.m. on a charge of criminal trespassing and released on a summons.
Lamonique Washington, 24, of 1230 Weber St., Franklin, was arrested Friday at 10:21 p.m. on charges of speeding and driving under suspension and was released on a summons.
Kevin James, 29, of 813½ Iberia St., Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 4:11 a.m. on charges of simple battery, aggravated flight from an officer, reckless operation and no driver’s license. He was released on $6,250 bond.
A deputy received a report from Chitimacha Police regarding a medical emergency and possible battery at a location on La. 87 in the Baldwin area. During the course of the investigation, the deputy reportedly learned that James struck a female victim in the face multiple times while the two were driving on La. 87. Fearing for her life, the victim reportedly jumped from the vehicle and made contact with a Chitimacha Police officer patrolling the area. Sheriff’s deputies issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) bulletin for James’ vehicle which was located on Lee Charles Street in Franklin. The responding deputy initiated a traffic stop but James reportedly failed to pull over, continuing at a high rate of speed to the intersection of Iberia Street and Chatsworth Road where he crashed the vehicle. The deputy apprehended James. Following the crash, James was transported to Franklin Foundation Hospital where he was treated and released. The crash investigation was turned over to Louisiana State Police.
Vincent Gaines, 72, of Napoleonville, was arrested Saturday at 9:42 a.m. on an Assumption Parish failure to appear warrant on charges of DWI and careless operation. He was released on $300 bond.
Charles Robinson, 56, of Gibson, was arrested Saturday at 7:12 p.m. on a warrant charging him with issuing worthless checks and released on a summons.
Kendall M. Baker, 49, of 310 Willowood Drive, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 7:42 p.m. on charges of DWI and improper lane use. He was released on $1,750 bond.
Perry Ourso, 55, of 529 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Sunday at 1:11 a.m. on charges of attempted theft and criminal damage to property. He was released on a summons.
Russell Gant, 36, of 101 3Bs Lane, Apt. 10, Bayou Vista, was arrested Sunday at 2:45 a.m. on a charge of domestic abuse battery and was released on $5,000 bond.
Carlton Melancon, 37, of 246 Lockett Road, Four Corners, was arrested Sunday at 4:16 a.m. on two failure to appear warrants on charges of criminal neglect of family, a Lafayette Parish warrant on traffic violations, third offense possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.
Leivi J. Alcantara, 29, of Metairie, was arrested Sunday at 10:55 a.m. on a Florida Department of Corrections warrant charging him with probation violation. No bond was set.
Latisha Drexler, 34, of 122 Bagon Lane, Verduville, and Martha Bordelon, 55, of 376 Verdun Lane, Verdunville, were arrested Sunday at about 1:35 p.m. on charges of disturbing the peace. Both were released on $500 bonds.
Ciara Leonard, 27, of Napoleonville, was arrested Sunday at 6:12 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to comply with the terms of drug court. She was held on $100,000 bond.
Andre Jeter, 27, of 505 Wise St., Patterson, was arrested Sunday at 11:09 p.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace intoxicated and was released on a summons.
Jeremy Butler, 28, of 248 Edmund Lane, Charenton, was arrested today at 3:10 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of threatening a public officer, remaining where forbidden, resisting an officer and disturbing the peace. No bond was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Cierra Smith, 25, of BDC Lane, Franklin, Saturday at 1:49 a.m. on a 15th Judicial District Court failure to appear warrant on charges of no seat belt and switched license plate. He was released on $250 bond.
Javontrae Levine, 21, of Muggah Street, Patterson, was arrested Saturday at 9:30 p.m. on a Third Ward Court failure to appear warrant on charges of two counts careless operation with accident, two counts of hit and run, Patterson warrants charging him with armed robbery, simple battery, criminal damage to property and simple battery. No bond was set.
Ashley Darby, 26, of Ibert Street, and Michael Thomas, 28, of Anderson Street, Franklin, were arrested Sunday at 8:18 p.m. on charges of the peace. Darby was released on $250 bond and Thomas on $357 bond.
Erick Baker, 29, of O’Neal Chube Street, Franklin, was arrested today at 7:03 a.m. on a warrant charging him with domestic abuse battery and held with no bond set.
