Police Reports 2-9-15

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Police arrested three people Friday resulting from a search warrant executed on Friendship Lane with the assistance of the Morgan City Police Department, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Division and the Third Ward Court Marshal’s Office.
Matthew Blanks, 33, of Friendship Lane, was arrested at 7:25 a.m. on charges of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, second offense possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of minors, keeping a disorderly place, four counts of cruelty to juveniles and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. No bond was set.
Latisha Blanks, 36, of Friendship Lane, Franklin, was arrested at 7:25 a.m. on charges of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of minors, manufacture of crack cocaine, keeping a disorderly place and four counts of cruelty to juveniles. She was released on $15,000 bond.
Vontrell Loston, 28, of Friendship Lane, Franklin, was arrested at 7:25 a.m. on charges of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of minors, manufacture of crack cocaine, keeping a disorderly place and four counts of cruelty to juveniles. He was released on $15,000 bond.
The cruelty to juveniles charges stem from children reportedly living in the residence where illegal narcotics were manufactured and sold.
McGuire also reported the unrelated arrests of Laurie Waguespack, 37, of Cayce Street, Franklin, Friday at 12:49 p.m. on a district court failure to appear warrant on a charge of possession of marijuana. She was released to appear in court.
Raynel Watts, 37, of Clausen Road, Verdunville, was arrested Friday at 11 p.m. on a district court failure to appear warrant on a charge of possession of marijuana and released on $5,000 bond.
Demondre Wiggins, 23, of Gumpoint Lane, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 6:19 p.m. on a charge of off-road vehicle on a public roadway and careless operation. He was released on $750 bond.
Toni Bourgeois, 32, of Verdun Lane, Verdunville, was arrested today at 8:39 a.m. on a warrant charging her with disturbing the peace by obscene language and was released on $5,000 bond.
Chitimacha Police Chief Blaise Smith reported the arrest of Erick Guillory, 27, of Franklin, Saturday at 6:39 p.m. on a charge of hit and run. He was released on a summons.
At Thach, 39, of New Iberia, was arrested Saturday at 11:38 p.m. on a charge of hit and run and DWI. No bond was set.
