FSHS Lady Hornets defeat Lady Panthers

Fabian Small fired in a game-high 15 points, leading the Franklin Lady Hornets to a 57-18 District 9-3A victory over the Berwick Lady Panthers Friday at the FSHS Gym.
Franklin raced outfront by a 28-1 lead in the opening quarter before building an insurmountable 48-8 cushion at the half. Franklin roared out to a 50-12 advantage after three quarters on the way to the lop-sided 57-18 victory.
Small led the Lady Hornets in scoring with 15 points on seven field goals and 1 of 1 free throws. Mai Francis tossed in nine points on three deuces and one trey. Wynesha Jenkins tossed in eight points on three floor shots and 2 of 4 freebies. Quanta Jones bagged six points on three floor shots. Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Hornets were: Chardonnae Parker, 6; Kaira Butler, 4; Samantha Frederick, 4; Ajontae McDaniel, 2; Sympany Broussard, 2; Abriana Burrell, 1.
Franklin will host E. D. White on Tuesday with Girls JV starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by girls varsity and boys varsity.
