Edward Joseph Mayon

Edward Joseph Mayon, 78, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Morgan City Healthcare Center.
Edward was born on March 1, 1936, in Charenton, the son of Leonce and Octavia Verrett Mayon.
Edward loved listening to music and, in his early years, he loved to go dancing.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister, Mary Blanco, of Morgan City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Leonce Mayon and Octavia Verrett Mayon; stepfather, Nephi Knope; wife, Elise Robin Mayon; five brothers; and one sister.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at Twin City Funeral Home with a visitation being held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Edward will be laid to rest at a later date in the Morgan City Cemetery.
