CHS Lady Bulldogs stop Lady Jaguars

NEW ORLEANS _ Centerville High School’s Lady Bulldogs posted a huge 43-8 victory over the Martin Luther King Lady Jaguars here Friday in the District 8-B season finale.
Centerville finished the regular season with a 7-12 won-loss record overall and 2-4 in District 8-B.
The Lady Bulldogs rolled out by a 15-2 lead in the opening period before taking a commanding 25-5 lead at the half. In the third quarter, the Lady Bulldogs extended their lead to an insurmountable 34-7 advantage. Centerville went on a 9-1 flurry in the final period to notch the easy 43-8 win in the district finale.
Centerville’s Nykeytra Kennedy scored a game-high 14 points while Altria Austin poured in 7 points and Kayla Robinson tossed in 6 points.
