Early voting starts Saturday

Registrar of Voters Jolene Holcombe has announced that early voting for the March 28 election begins on Saturday, March 14 and continues through Saturday, March 21.
Hours for early voting are 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Early voting will be conducted at the Registrar’s Office on the third floor of the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin and also at the Registrar’s branch office in Morgan City, at 301 Third St. Voters may vote early in either office regardless of your address.
The following issues are on the ballot:
Law Enforcement Sub-District No. 1: Millage Renewal Proposition (15 mill property tax continuation)
Road District No. 1: Bond Proposition (Issue bonds in the amount of $6.5 million for a period and not exceeding 20 years)
Consolidated School District No. 3: Millage Renewal Proposition (12 mill property tax continuation)
Mosquito Control District No. 1: Millage Renewal Proposition (7.19 mill property tax continuation)
Waterworks District No. 5: Tax Renewal Proposition (4.60 mill property tax continuation)
Ward 4 Fire Protection District No. 2: Tax Renewal Proposition (4 mill property tax)
Consolidated School District No. 2: Millage Renewal Proposition (12.17 mill property tax continuation)
Sewerage District No. 8: Tax Renewal Proposition (6.44 mill property tax continuation)
Sixth Ward Special School District No. 3: Millage Renewal Proposition (11.75 mill property tax continuation)
Consolidated Gravity Drainage District No. 2: Millage Renewal Proposition (2-1/2 mill property tax continuation)
