Berwick takes doubleheader from Donaldsonville

Berwick High School swept a District 9-3A doubleheader from Donaldsonville with a pair of 18-0 wins in three innings.
Berwick used a combined six pitchers in both games and didn’t surrender a hit in either game.
In game 1, Berwick had 11 hits, led by Brandon Fryou’s two hits.
Daniel Gray, Cameron Wiley and Cody Roberie each had a double in the win.
Donaldsonville surrendered eight walks and hit five batters.
In game two, Berwick had eight hits, all singles.
Donaldsonville hit two batters and walked 13.
Berwick (15-8 overall, 4-0 in district) won’t return to action until April 14 when it faces host Patterson in District 9-3A action.
Other action
Patterson will hit the field again today when it hosts E.D. White in a 5:30 p.m. contest, while Morgan City won’t hit the field again until Wednesday when it travels to face Hanson in a 6 p.m. contest.
Central Catholic won’t play again until Thursday when it travels to face Gueydan in a 4 p.m. contest.
