Parish track and field meet set for Friday
The St. Mary Parish track and field meet will be held Friday at Geisler Stadium in Berwick.
Seven of the parish’s eight schools will be competing.
Locally, Central Catholic, Morgan City, Berwick and Patterson will compete, while from the west end of the parish, Franklin, Hanson and West St. Mary will be in attendance.
Field events will begin at 3:30 p.m., while track events will follow at 6 p.m.

Softball registration ends Friday
The Morgan City Recreation Department will close its extended sign-up for softball for ages 7-12 on Friday.
All registration information can be completed at the recreation department, located at 915 Everett St., in Morgan City.
The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but closed for lunch daily from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
