Police Reports 4-13-15
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests.
Hector Villareal, 25, of Siracusa, was arrested Thursday at 4:12 a.m. on charges of DWI, no driver’s license, open alcohol container and improper parking. No bond was set.
Charles Cantrell, 44, of 150 Two Sisters Court, Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 7:36 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of stalking and was released on $10,000 bond.
Tradasha L. Brooks, 19, of 314 Taft St., Patterson, Arielle E. Hunt, 20, of 156 Yellow Bayou Road, Centerville; and Waynisha D. Jones, 30, of Siracusa, were arrested Thursday at about 12:30 p.m. on charges of disturbing the peace by fighting. All were released on summons.
Shenell Jones, 38, of 105 Emy Lane, Lot 53, Patterson, was arrested Thursday at 12:10 p.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks and a failure to appear warrant on a charge of issuing worthless checks. She was released on $5,500 bond.
Stuart Smith, 57, of New Iberia, was arrested Thursday at 12:18 p.m. on a warrant charging him with issuing worthless checks. He was released on a summons.
Miesha Moore, 34, of 402 Halsey St., Morgan City, was arrested Thursday at 1:06 p.m. on two warrants charging her with failure to comply with the terms of drug court and was held on $200,000 bond.
Dean Beranek, 29, of 117 Burchfield Lane, Berwick, was arrested Thursday at 2:54 p.m. on a warrant charging him with second degree battery. He was released on $15,000 bond.
Pamela Cain, 53, of 133 Two Sister Court, Bayou Vista, was arrested Thursday at 3:14 p.m. on failure to appear warrants on charges of criminal damage to property, battery on an officer and disturbing the peace intoxicated. No bond was set.
Louis James, 34, of 127 Emy Lane, Lot 59, Patterson, was arrested Friday at 12:10 a.m. on a warrant charging him with computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with a juvenile. On April 9, detectives received a complaint involving a minor. James allegedly sent an inappropriate message to a 13-year-old girl on Facebook calling her “sweetie.” The message had alarmed one of the juvenile’s parents who reported the incident to the sheriff’s office. Continuing the investigation, a detective posed as a 15-year-old girl on the social media site and reportedly agreed to meet James on Zenor Road in the Patterson area. The Facebook conversation between James and the detective posing as the juvenile allegedly included plans for the two to engage in sexual acts. At approximately 10:30 p.m. Thursday James reportedly arrived at the predetermined location and attempted to make contact with the detective who was posing as the 15-year-old girl. James then fled from the area on foot but was quickly apprehended by other detectives waiting nearby. No bond was set.
Narcotics Division agents arrested Justin Pellerin, 23, of 522 Parish Road 131, Franklin, Thursday at 5:03 p.m. on charges of possession of Dianabol, possession of anabolic steroid liquid testosterone, possession in the presence of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond information was available.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Kenneth Smith, 55, of Main Street, Franklin, Thursday at 1:34 p.m. on charges of disturbing the peace intoxicated and open alcohol container. He was released on $1,000 bond.
Daniel Williams Jr., 34, of Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested on a probation violation warrant Thursday at 1:58 p.m. No bond was set.
Sonia McDaniel, 39, of James Street, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 6 p.m. on a charge of theft by shoplifting and was released on $1,000 bond.
Annika Depass, 29, of Railroad Avenue, Baldwin, was arrested Friday at 4:24 p.m. on a warrant charging her with disturbing the peace by fighting and a Third Ward Court warrant charging her with failure to appear on a charge of no driver’s license. She was released on $710 bond.
Kevin James, 29, of Iberia Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 9:45 a.m. on a charge of remaining where forbidden and released on $500 bond.
Tyler Archon, 20, of New Iberia, was arrested Saturday at 11:01 pm. on a charge of possession of marijuana and released on $2,000 bond.
Cloris Jones, 27, of Friendship Lane, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 9:48 p.m. warrants charging her with no driver’s license. She was released on $750 bond.
Acting Chitimacha Police Chief Ellen Hebert reported that John Ozanne, 63, and Yulande Walker, 50, both of Lafayette, were arrested Sunday on warrants charging them with theft and released on summons.
