ALFRED J. BOUDREAUX

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Alfred J. Boudreaux, 77, on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 11 a.m., at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin. Fr. Thomas Vu will be the Celebrant for the Mass. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visiting hours will resume on Saturday at St. Jules Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass.
Mr. Boudreaux was born June 27, 1937 at Belleview Plantation to the late Gilbert Frank Boudreaux and Lorena Tabor Boudreaux. He passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Franklin Foundation Hospital, with his family by his side.
Alfred dedicated 37 years of loyal service to Degussa. He was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life, and had a talent for woodworking, gardening and fixing things. But Alfred’s greatest joys were telling stories, and cooking for his family, as well as spending time with them, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Karen Hebert Boudreaux of Franklin; his five children, Kitty Boudreaux, Kevin Boudreaux and wife, Gina; Joann “Missy” Crow and husband, Paul, all of Franklin; Angela “Angie” Jesse and husband, Cam of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada and Paul Burke and wife, Leslie, of Patterson; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; his brothers, Lindel Boudreaux and wife, Sandra of Smyrna, TN and Gilbert P. Boudreaux and wife, Geraldine, of Franklin; and his sisters, Ruth “Counet” Boudreaux, Linda Iverson and husband, Dale; and Polly Boudreaux, all of Franklin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alexis Boudreaux; and his sister, Harriet Boudreaux.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Henslee, Trent Houghton, Jonathan Alcina, Jared Boudreaux, David Crow and Cam Jesse.
