Patterson defeats Franklin

Patterson scored three runs in the third inning and a run in the fourth to beat Franklin, 4-1, Thursday in District 7-3A play.
Lumberjacks ace Sirbatian Charles pitched a complete game for one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and three walks. The Hornets run was unearned.
Leading hitters for Patterson were Brennan Gouaux, 1-for-2 with two RBIs; Jake LaGrange, 2-for-3 with a RBI and a run scored; Joel Singleton, 1-for-1 with a run scored; Blake Dryer, 1-for-2 with a RBI and a run scored; Brad Beaubouef, 1-for-2; and Kenny Singleton scored a run.
Patterson (15-11, 5-2) will complete a continuation game with Berwick (17-10, 4-2) today at 6 p.m. in Patterson. The ’Jacks will close out the regular season Monday with a non-district game at Morgan City.
