JANE ELIZABETH ‘MARY’ LONG

Jane Elizabeth “Mary” Long, 71, a resident of Morgan City and native of Sorrell, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015, at 6:55 p.m., at her residence.
Visitation will be observed Saturday, May 2 at the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Morgan City, from 10 a.m. until funeral services, at 2 p.m. Dr. C.F. Smith Sr. will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
As a paraprofessional in St. Mary Parish School System, Jane touched so many lives.
Cherished and divine memories will forever be remembered by a special daughter, Belinda Bradford-Johnson of Windsor Locks, CT; four brothers, Richard Gabriel, David Gabriel and Russell Gabriel, all of Lafayette, and Chester Gabriel Jr. of Lakewood, CA; five sisters, Mrs. Jesse Wayne (Ruth) Bradford, Diane McGuire and Eva Gabriel, all of Lafayette, Rosalind Gabriel of Willingboro, NJ and Betty Gabriel-Cummings of Sacramento, CA; three grandchildren; as well as several other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Jane, also known as “Mary,” was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister.
