BARBARA ANN CLAIRE MORGAN PRICE
December 3, 1943 — May 4, 2015
Barbara Anne Claire “Maw” Morgan Price finally gave in and took the hand of her mother and father, who led her to the light. She left behind multiple loved ones who treasured her each and every day. She fought for so long and so hard because she loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was willing to endure the pain if it meant she could be with her family one more day.
Barbara wanted to hold on to the love of her life, Gerald A. Price Sr., for as long as she could. She completely adored this man, who devoted his entire life to her. There will never be a greater man to walk the face of the Earth than her husband of 50 years.
She was a beautiful, kind, caring and amazing woman. Her love was unselfish, any and all sacrifices she made for her family were never expected to be repaid. Our Good Lord blessed us with 71 years with her love and guidance.
Barbara was born on Dec. 3, 1943, in Morgan City, and raised her two children here. She passed from this life at her home to an everlasting peaceful pain-free life Monday, May 4, 2015. Her husband was at her side when she passed in her sleep. Her entire family was able to spend those last few precious moments with her.
She was a loving mother to her one and only son, Gerald Price Jr. and his wife, Becky, and to her loving daughter, Denise Anne Price Lindsey. She was the grandmother to her firstborn grandson, (#1) Justin Price, who married Aeriel. On her 50th birthday, she was blessed with her grandson, Gerald Price III, who married Keely. Next came her Texas Tornado, Daniel Lindsey, then her wonderful granddaughter, Brittani Price, and last but not least, her pride and joy, Bradley Lindsey. Then started coming her great-grandchildren, Gavyn, Brayden, Paetyn, Ryder and Avery (these were “her babies”).
She will be greatly missed by her brother, Patrick Morgan and his wife, Emily. Also, the numerous brothers- and sister-in-law who gave her life many blessings. Barbara will be dearly missed. Even though we will grieve every day of our lives, we know she will be welcomed into Heaven by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. “Sonny” Morgan; brother, Mitchel “Mikey” Morgan; granddaughter, Ashley Price; and great-granddaughter, Ellie Mae Price. We will miss you very much. She will be missed by the countless number of friends she made while here on Earth.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wybra Price Jr., the Rev. John Locascio and the Rev. Terry Bunner officiating. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of memorial services.
The family asked that donations be made to Autism Society Bayou Chapter, P.O. Box 551, Amelia, LA 70340, in her memory.
