Funeral services for Amy Louise Fincher Ducote Lucia will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at 1 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin. She will be laid to rest in Perpetual Park Cemetery.
Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at Ibert’s from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.
Mrs. Amy was born on October 25, 1933 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Lillie B. Vest and Albert A. Fincher. She was a longtime resident of Franklin, passing away at the age of 81 on Friday, May 8, 2015, at the Franklin Health Care Center.
Many will remember Mrs. Amy from the years she spent owning and operating her own restaurant in Franklin, Lou’s Hut, where you were sure to get a good home-cooked meal. Some of her favorite pastimes were going to the casino, and going with her daughter, Melody, to play bingo. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her three children, Thomas Ducote and wife, Sheila; Roxanne L. Lange and husband, Mark; and Joey Lucia; her stepdaughter, Cynthia L. Minor and husband, Neil; and her four grandchildren, Ricky Carter, Ivy Hebert, and Allie and Joseph Lange.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Lucia Sr.; her daughter, Melody Ann Ducote; her mother, Lillie B. Vest; her father, Albert A. Pincher; her brother, Harold D. Thomas; and her nephew, Hal D. Thomas.
