Closing ceremonies at Stephensville Elementary

On Thursday and Friday, Stephensville Elementary held closing ceremonies for pre-kindergarten through seventh grade. Awards were given for many categories, beginning with Allison Guagliardo’s pre-K students, who played paper guitars and delivered gift bags to their parents. In the gym, the first-grade students of Chasity Morales sang a song in French. Teachers Georgia Landry (first grade), Letha Oxidine (second), Brandie Petersen (third) Patty Orgeron (fourth), Pam Verrett (fifth), Carrie Johnson (sixth), and Georgina Green (seven) helped French teacher Candice Theriot and Principal Bryan Staton hand out certificates, trophies and T-shirts for attendance, grades, conduct, math contests, French, fine arts fair, the social studies and science fairs, accelerated reading, baseball, softball, volleyball and bowling.
