SCOTT L. CLEMENT

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated for Scott L. Clement on Monday, June 1, 2015, at 12 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Church in Charenton. He will be laid to rest in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery Mausoleum. Fr. Gregory Cormier will be the Celebrant for the Mass.
A gathering of family and friends was held Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass, with the rosary being prayed at 11 a.m.
Scott was born in Franklin on November 12, 1962 to Lenis J. Clement and the late Ouida Melancon Clement and has been a lifelong resident of Charenton. He passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 52 on Friday, May 29, 2015 at his home.
From a young boy, Scott grew up on the family farm, Clements and Broussard Sugar Farm, spending his entire life in the Sugar Cane Industry, and eventually became co-owner. Some of his favorite pastimes were tinkering in his shed, tending to his animals; and riding his four-wheeler and gator. But most importantly, Scott was a great provider and family man who enjoyed life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Angela Courville Clement; three children, Danielle Clement, Jared Clement and Sophia Clement; two step-children, Jude Latiolais and his wife, Kim; and Jade Latiolais; one grandchild, Jackson Latiolais; his father, Lenis J. Clement; one sister, Wanda C. Broussard and her husband, Michael; one brother, Lenis J. Clement Jr.; his father and mother-in-law, August and Mary Courville; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ouida Melancon Clement; and one sister, Phyllis C. Sedatol.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jared Clement, Jude Latiolais, Jade Latiolais, Corey Broussard, Trent Broussard, Kegan Clement and Nata Sedatol.
