EUGENE ‘MICKEY’ LEBLANC SR.

Mr. Eugene “Mickey” Leblanc Sr. passed away early Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at his son’s home in Broussard. He was born in Houma on December 12, 1932. He was a one-of-a-kind man who brought laughter and smiles to everyone around him. And he was a charmer and a flirt, even to the end. He was the former Homecoming King at Hanson High School and he loved sports. Football, baseball, basketball, and boxing were a few of the things he loved to watch. He also raised over 100 dogs and was a breeder expert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Leblanc Sr. and Madalyn Lyle; and his sister, Earline Wheelahan.
He is survived by his brother, Willie Leblanc Jr.; his children, Deborah Stiel of Houma, Penny Mensman of Franklin, Eugene ‘Sonny” Leblanc Jr. of Broussard, Patti Letcher Salt Lake City, UT and Dana Leblanc of Cankton, LA; and his 10 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
