Patterson man appears Wednesday night on 'Pickers'

An episode of History Channel’s “American Pickers” featuring Patterson resident Ronnie Sanders is set to air at 8 p.m. today.
In January, the stars of American Pickers, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, visited Sanders’ warehouse in Patterson to pick through the treasures he’s been collecting for 50 years and now rents as movie props, The Daily Review reported at the time.
Wolfe and Fritz own Antique Archaeology, with shops in LeClaire, Iowa, and Nashville, Tennessee.
The men travel the country “picking” through barns, warehouses and homes for treasures reflecting the American experience.
Sanders, a retired postal worker in Morgan City, “has anything from antique firearms to slot machines to gas pumps to some advertising pieces. He’s got this whole building full of stuff,” Wolfe said in January.
Sanders said he’s been collecting for about 50 years and often rents his collection out as movie props to Hollywood studios filming in Louisiana, The Daily Review reported in January.
The May 27 episode of “American Pickers” also featured footage of Wolfe’s and Fritz’s trip to Louisiana, according to The New Orleans Advocate.
