OLIVIA G. LEDET

Olivia G. Ledet, 84, a native of Franklin and a resident of Jeanerette, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 at 3:45 a.m., at the Iberia Medical Center.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, June 6, at the First Jerusalem Baptist Church, 835 Monnot Rd. in Jeanerette, from 10 a.m. until funeral services at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Ivory Ledet Jr. officiating the services. Burial will follow in the Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette.
Many cherished and divine memories of Mrs. Ledet will forever be remembered by her six sons, Ivory Ledet Jr., Thomas Ledet and Darrell Ledet, all of Jeanerette, Sherman Ledet Sr. and Michael Ledet Sr., both of Morgan City, and Davy Ledet Sr. of Yucon, OK; six daughters, Sedonia Alexander of Jeanerette, Gertrude Madise of Morgan City, Geraldine Glover of Monroe, Mrs. Arthur (Shirley) Joseph of Lafayette, Mrs. Wilbert (Gloria) Francis of Conroe, TX and Mrs. Josmaibi (Lucy) Ogbamah of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Margie Mae Turner and Mrs. Harold (Sybil) Charles), both of Morgan City; three brothers, Joseph Gash and Ernest Gash, both of Morgan City, and Herman Gash of El Paso, TX; 36 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Olivia was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, and one granddaughter.
