QUEEN ASTER POLIDORE

Queen Aster Polidore, 70, a native and lifelong resident of Sorrell, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 1:30 a.m., at a residence in New Orleans (Algiers), LA.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, June 6, at the St. Moses Baptist Church, 20315 Highway 182 W. in Jeanerette from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Paul Godfrey, officiating the services. Burial will follow services in the Sorrell Community Cemetery.
Many cherished and divine memories of “Queenie”, as she was known to many, will forever be remembered by her sons, Anthony Polidore Sr. of Marrero and Calvin Williams of Norfolk, VA; three sisters, Elnora P. Hernandez (Don) of New Orleans, Emily Alexander (Bernard) of Port Arthur, TX and Alice M. Broussard of Houston, TX; one grandson, Anthony Polidore Jr.; as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Queen was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.
