Shooting in Siracusaville under Investigation

Detectives are investigating the shooting of a 37-year-old Schriever man who's listed in stable condition, according to a St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office news release Thursday afternoon.
At 2:11 a.m. Wednesday, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of possible gun fire in Siracusaville. Deputies searched the area and located evidence of a shooting on James Street, the release.
During the investigation, detectives received information that a 37-year-old Schriever man was being treated for gunshot wounds at a hospital in a neighboring parish, the release said. Detectives identified the man as the victim in the shooting in Siracusaville, the release stated. The victim is currently listed in stable condition, and the investigation is ongoing, the release said.
