Taco Bell defeats Cardinal Lumber 9-1
Taco Bell quickly rallied from an early deficit and rolled to a 9-1 victory against Cardinal Lumber in Swampland league action Tuesday at Patterson.

Offensively, Cameron Wiley led a potent offensive attack for Taco Bell with a 2-for-3 performance with a double and three RBIs.

The Cardinal Lumber defense was plagued by six errors in the contest, while its offense had just two hits.
“It was the outfield’s turn last night to struggle defensively,” Cardinal Lumber coach Ryan Jensen said. “That (third) inning put us in a difficult position. Their pitchers did a great job of not letting us really ever get anything going offensively after the (first) inning.”
Offensively, Gouaux finished 1-for-3, while Marcus Vining was 1-for-1.
Jensen noted his team is playing multiple guys with no varsity experience, and he realizes there will be some “hiccups.”
“It’s frustrating, but we have some kids giving their best effort and showing up every day trying to get better,” he said. “The bad nights now hopefully will pay off for them in the spring when it matters most.”
