LOUISE SCHAUB MIER

December 2, 1948-June 1, 2015
Louise Schaub Mier, a native of New Orleans and resident of Tomball, Texas, died Monday, June 1, 2015, in Austin, Texas.
Louise grew up in Morgan City, Louisiana, and moved to Kingwood, Texas, to raise her family. She was in the real estate business for many years. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and enjoyed music and reading. Louise was affectionately called “Mama Mier” by her extended Austin, Texas, family.
In addition to her loving husband of 47 years, Joseph Mier Jr., Louise is survived by their children, Joseph Mier III and wife, Jena, of Cedar Creek, Texas, Jennifer Mier of Kyle, Texas, and Amanda Mier Rivera and husband, Albert, of Kyle, Texas; two grandchildren, Abigail Rivera and Aubree Rivera; stepgranddaughter, Lila Weatherly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louise is also survived by three brothers, Michael Schaub and wife, Betty, of Allen, Texas, Paul Schaub and wife, Carol, of Bayou Vista, Louisiana, and Mark Schaub of Nacogdoches, Texas; and one sister, Sharon Schaub Templet and husband, Randall, of Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Rosie Schaub; and a brother, Nuncy Schaub.
A memorial service will be held to honor Louise on Saturday, June 27, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 1504 Sandra Street in Morgan City.
