LULA MAE COLAR

Mrs. Lula Mae Colar, 65, a resident of Franklin and native of Lafayette, died Friday, June 19, 2015, at 9:20 a.m., at Chateau Terrebonne Health Care following a short illness.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, June 27, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Macedonia Baptist Church, 145 Prevost Rd. in Ashton.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ulysses Mitchell Jr. officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Dannie Colar of Franklin; two sons, Don C. Freeman and Dwayne K. Freeman, both of Franklin; one daughter, Ms. Cheryl M. Mack Freeman of Franklin; eight brothers, Johnny Freeman Jr., Lee Butler, Harold Byers, all of Franklin, Jules Byers of Houma, Johnny Byers and Maurice Byers, both of Houston, TX, Cornelius Climax of Ocean Springs, MS and Brad Guilbeau of Monroe; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Richardson and Miss Sevelia Byers of Houston, Miss Doris Butler of Ville Platte, Miss Rose Freeman of Jeanerette, Miss Rosalyn Guilbeau and Miss Rosetta Guilbeau, both of Moss Point, MS; 12 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
