Police Reports 6-30-15
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Gerald Sophus, 25, of Samuel Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 4:17 p.m. on a charge of driving under suspension and released on $1,000 bond.
Thaiim Guilbeau, 22, of Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 7:59 p.m. on a warrant charging him with disturbing the peace and was released on $250 bond.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the arrest of a juvenile male, 16, of Baldwin, Monday at 5:44 a.m. on warrants charging him with six counts indecent behavior with juveniles and one count indecent behavior with juveniles.
In early April, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s office received three complaints of alleged indecent behavior and molestation. During the course of the investigation, forensic interviews were conducted at Hearts of Hope Children’s Advocacy Center where the detective reportedly learned that a 6-year-old male victim and two 6-year-old female victims were inappropriately touched by the juvenile. The abuse allegedly occurred multiple times in the months of March and April in Baldwin and Sorrell. The detective obtained warrants for the juvenile’s arrest. A deputy conducting a traffic stop on La. 182 in the Franklin area reportedly observed the juvenile in the vehicle, knew of the active warrants for his arrest, and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. The juvenile was later released to a guardian.
Derek Brown, 23, of 90 Choctaw Road, Jeanerette, was arrested Monday at 8:55 a.m. on a charge of criminal trespassing and released on $1,000 bond.
Cayd Hatch, 17, of 713 Prairie Road North, Verdunville, was arrested Monday at 8:47 a.m. on a Morgan City failure to appear warrant on a seatbelt violation. He was released on a fine.
Jesse Comeaux Sr., 46, of 508 Franklin St., Morgan City, was arrested Monday at 1:55 p.m. on a warrant charging him with simple assault and was released on $250 bond.
Quincy Toups, 34, of 1301 First St., Patterson, was arrested Monday at 9:31 p.m. on a charge of remaining where forbidden and held on $500 bond.
Shantell S. McPherson, 41, of 1003 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, was arrested Monday at 10:01 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of direct contempt, speeding and failure to honor written promise to appear. Bond was set at $325.
Stacey L. Grubb, 34, of 125 Two Sisters’ Court, Bayou Vista, was arrested today at 2:53 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and held on $2,500 bond.
