RAY A. LOUVIERE

Jeanerette – Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Ray A. Louviere, 92, on Friday, July 3, 2015, at 11 a.m., at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home, at 400 Provost St. in Jeanerette, Friday, July 3, 2015, from 9 a.m. to time of service at 11 a.m.
A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Louviere passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2015, at 11:50 p.m., at a Lafayette healthcare facility.
Mr. Louviere served in the United States Navy as a machinist where he was prepared for his career with Redd Foxx Industries for 30 plus years as a machinist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Woodmen of the World.
He is survived by his wife, of 72 years, Bertha Louviere of Jeanerette; his sons, Ray A. Louviere Jr. and wife, Anna, of Plaquemine; Roy C. Louviere and wife, Rebecca, of Ashton; Michael L. Louviere and wife, Carla, of Baton Rouge; Kerry J. Louviere of Lydia; Vincent P. Louviere of Baldwin; Mark A. Louviere and wife, Roseann of San Antonio, TX; Kenneth J. Louviere of Pasadena, TX; and Daniel P. Louviere of Illinois; daughters, Bertha Ann Pope of Harrisburg, MI and Kay T. Louviere and husband, Jerry Frost of Verdunville; brothers, Melvin Louviere of Irving, TX and Burney Louviere and wife, Lou Ella of Franklin; sisters, Mary L. Charpentier of New Iberia and Loretta Migues of Jeanerette; 26 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Ambrose Louviere and his mother, Agnes Landry Louviere; daughter, Mary L. Hebert; brothers, Charles Lee Louviere, Arthur Louviere and Kerney Louviere; and sister, Lois L. Breaux.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons of Mr. Ray A. Louviere.
