ADAM PAUL PERCLE
October 10, 1928-July 7, 2015
Adam Paul Percle, 86, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge.
Adam grew up appreciating the value of hard work and family. He spent his life on the water making a living until he couldn’t any longer. He loved his family tremendously and instilled what it meant to be a man of honor. Adam may be gone but he and his character will never be forgotten.
Adam is survived by his seven daughters, Agnes Rink and husband, Allen Jr., of Berwick, Patricia Marcaux of Morgan City, Lucy Legget of Morgan City, Kathleen Bercegeay and husband, Charles, of Morgan City, Debra Keller and husband, Donald, of Morgan City, Betty Justain and husband, Donald, of Morgan City, and Ramona Richard of Morgan City; two sons, Melvin Gros and wife, Linda, of Berwick, and Michael Gros and wife, Faye, of Patterson; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Percle and Randall Percle; three sisters, Elda Solar, Nora Daigle and Shirley Couvillier; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Adam was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou Percle; his most recent wife, Lillian Giror Percle; parents, Cliffton and Agnes Percle; one brother, Nolan Percle; and one sister, Rose Mae Percle.
Visitation will take place today, Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Twin City Funeral Home beginning at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will resume at the funeral home on Friday, July 10, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. until time of service beginning at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following the service.
