Dunk-A-Cop is Saturday

Tri-City residents have the opportunity to “dunk a cop” Saturday in Morgan City, while raising money for the Louisiana Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
The Morgan City Police Department will again partner with East Gate BBQ in Morgan City to help raise money for the Louisiana Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, according to a police news release.
Morgan City Police Department officers will be on hand between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to give those who donate a chance to “Dunk a Cop” at the dunking booth and help raise money for a worthy cause, the release stated.
East Gate BBQ, located at East Gate Shopping Center on La. 182 in Morgan City, will also celebrate their fourth anniversary Saturday.
Last year, the effort raised over $1,000 for the Louisiana Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, the release said.
East Gate BBQ will also host a beer pong tournament as part of the fundraiser with over $400 in prizes. Registration for the tournament starts at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
