New firetruck for Morgan City

The Morgan City Fire Department received a 2015 model pumper firetruck last week. It was built by Ferrara Fire Apparatus of Holden. The truck is designated as Engine 4 and cost about $255,000. It was paid for using city funds and a $100,000 allocation from St. Mary Parish government. Among those present were, from left, Operator Ryan Pellerin, Capt. Jesse Ratcliff, Capt. Daniel Dreyer, firefighter Russell Miller, Assistant Chief Mark Stephens, Chief Alvin Cockerham, Mayor Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi, Councilman Barry Dufrene, Assistant Chief John Price, Capt. Curley Dupuis and Councilman Louis Tamporello.
