Fire destroys Ricohoc mobile home; no injuries reported

A mobile home was destroyed Tuesday in Ricohoc after an air conditioning unit is believed to have caught fire, Centerville Volunteer Fire Chief Roy Martin said. No one was injured in the fire.
At about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, the Centerville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in the 100 block of Stephens Lane in Ricohoc. Upon arrival, the home was fully involved in flames, Martin said.
The Patterson Volunteer Fire Department and Franklin Fire Department also responded for mutual aid, Martin said. Firefighters believe the fire may have been caused by a window unit air conditioner, he said.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured in the fire, Martin said. Firefighters stayed on scene for about 30 minutes and had the fire under control within 15 minutes but not before the fire totaled the mobile home, he said.
No other homes or property were damaged during the fire, Martin said.
Centerville used four firetrucks to fight the fire in addition to a rescue unit and service pickup truck, Martin said.
