MARVIN JAMES YOUNG SR.

Marvin James Young Sr., 72, a resident of Morgan City (Siracusa) and a native of New Orleans, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 4:34 p.m., at his residence in Morgan City (Siracusa).
Visitation will be observed Saturday, July 25, at the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Morgan City, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ivy Wilson Jr., will officiate the services. Burial will follow services in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Marvin leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 51 years, Martha D. Young of Morgan City (Siracusa); two sons, Marvin James Young Jr. (Kimberly) of Brentwood, TN; and Merrick Young (Luria) of Zachary; one daughter, Marlice Young-Dugas (Jonathan) of Lafayette; two sisters, Ina F. O’Brien of Lafayette and Linda Granger of Youngsville; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, his mother-in-law and his father-in-law.
