MITCHELL JOHN 'JOHNNY' MORGAN

A funeral was celebrated Tuesday at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, Louisiana, for Mitchell John “Johnny” Morgan Jr., 51, who passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015, at his residence.
Mitchell was born June 18, 1964, in Morgan City and was a long-time resident of Lafayette. He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, obtaining a medical technologist degree. Mitchell was later employed at various hospitals in the Acadiana area.
There are not enough words to express how many people loved Mitchell for his jolly spirit. He was one of the kindest individuals who was full of laughter. Mitchell was an avid reader and achieved his Eagle Scout honors with pride. Most of all, Mitchell loved spending time with his family and friends.
Mitchell is survived by his mother, Barbara Ann Murakami Morgan of Lafayette; sister, Janna Robichaux and her husband, Bradley, of Lafayette; two brothers, Devin Morgan and his wife, Courtney Reaux, of Lafayette and Chris Morgan and his fiancé, Melissa Lerille, of Maurice; and seven nieces and nephews, Michael Frederick, Courtney Morgan, Laurie Morgan, Sarah Morgan, Robert Morgan, Bethani Speyrer and Noah MacDiarmid.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell “Mickey” John Morgan Sr. of Morgan City.
